Review: The Hellacopters

The Hellacopters first stormed outta nuclear cloud-covered Sweden in 1994 with their loud, dirty-rockin, verse-chorus-verse hooks and retro-trash influences. The Stooges, Kiss, Social Distortion, and The Ramones are why the Hellacopters exist, creating raw noise this time around on a new 12″ out this month on Sweet Nothing Records. Known as their strength as songwriters, The Hellacopters won a Swedish Grammy for the best Hard Rock category in 1997.
