Review: The Lack

After forty-one minutes and fifteen seconds of listening to the Lack eponymous debut, every material possession you thrown violently into a whirlwind around your room, and then some. Adhering to the same theory of sonic bedlam as bands like the Locust and Fucking Champs, their inclusion on the Troubleman Mix Tape compilation inspired Alternative Press to hail them one of the “100 Bands to Know.” From Columbus, Ohio, the band mixes hardcore and electronic music with a dark, epic bend, along the lines of Nine Inch Nails and Apex Twin. Their bass frequencies, and owning a 10,000 watt PA, set them apart from most industrial bands. For fans of Throbbing Gristle and Ministry.
